Here is a playlist I made with my favourite songs:

Now, this is most definitely not the most comprehensive list ever. It should give you some kind of an idea about my music ‘taste’.

I would say that I like all music and am very open to listening to anything. The main rule I go by when deciding if I like a song or not is whether I can resonate personally with the lyrics. I also really enjoy powerful music in terms of creativity and technical prowess.

These are my personal views and I am not saying that I know what makes good music to you only what makes good music to me.

Listening to music has always feel comfort and release stress, due to the fact I can relate to the feelings transmitted though the words of the artists I listen to. It is important that I realise I am the one that adds meaning to those lyrics in the way that I do. Reading into song meanings has always been important for me to understand the message the artist is trying to put across.

Quite a lot of the music I listen to can be seen as angry, actually I see it as passionate and enthralling. I never used to like screaming and yes sometimes it is hard to understand what they say, however reading the lyrics really brought a whole new meaning to heavy bands such as In Flames and Soilwork for example.

At the end of the day I enjoy music because I enjoy being able to relate with the narrative of the song as well as the mastery of the instruments which are being played.

I guess if I had to say what my favourite band is I would say Red Hot Chili Peppers, they have always been a huge part of my life especially after seeing them just before my mother passed away. I will never ever get bored of listening to them.

At the end of the day, I am in love with all music, for me it’s one of the many beautiful things in life.
